On To STATE CONVENTION
Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, the work of the District Convention is complete. The results of all the elections held on April 28 are listed below. In addition, a link to the platform as amended and passed by majority vote of the District Convention Delegation is posted.
REMINDER: All Delegates and Alternates to the District Convention are also Delegates and Alternates to the State Convention. Details about State Convention Committee meetings, the State Convention itself, and the preceeding State Hall of Fame celebration are noted below. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make the District Convention a success!

Funds will be assumed for Federal Purpose, unless you indicate in Special Instructions that your Donation is for our "State Fund" - to be used for Iowa State Legislative races in this District Only.

Mission Statement
We are the Democrat Party organization of Iowa's Second Congressional District. We are committed to the principles of social justice and democracy; to uphold civil rig?ts, civil liberties and constitutional government. We promote the election of a Democrat member of the United States Congress in this District. We also assist the election of state legislators whose boundaries cross county lines within the District, serve as a liaison between the county Democratic organizations and the Iowa Democratic Party, and provide a forum for county leaders. In odd years, we conduct a political training workshop.
